For what seems like years, I have had a simple dream: Set up a personal blog for myself that talks about the world of video games. Would it be successful? What would I do on it? Do I make videos? Write stuff on it? How much would it cost?
Honestly, the list of questions I had was so numerous, I found myself turning away from the idea every time. But considering the current circumstances of the world, and realizing how many of my fellow colleagues have decided to move onto their own personal projects at this time, I decided it was time for me to do so too. So through much kicking and screaming and with no preparation time given to me (mainly because I would have likely talked myself out of it yet again…), Mad Mas Gaming has finally gone live! And with its very own webpage too! ((Thank you kindly WordPress))
So… How exactly am I going to handle this blog? Honestly… I have no clue at all. But hey, most people when they start something new usually hit the ground running, right? Honestly, the main goals will be to use the blog to either promote personal projects or works I’ve done for other sites, write about the current world of gaming that can range from one extreme to the next, and if I get lucky, maybe this could be something that could be turned into a profit. Again, who knows how far this will go, but I’m going to give it a fair shot this time. No more self-doubts and no more what ifs. If this works out, it works out. If it doesn’t, then at least I tried to make it work.
The main things I will need to figure out is how exactly I’m going to work on this blog as well as things needed for it. Do I need a logo? Probably. Youtube page? I got my own, but hell knows how I’m going to handle that. A team? Well, I’m flying solo for now. Too many things to figure out, but I’m going to take it a step at a time.
So until I know for sure how this will all play out, please join me in my mad little adventure. I’m Michael Solseth, but since that’s too many syllables, I’ll shorten it down to Mike Sol. Time to see how all this nonsense plays out. Wish me luck. ^__^
